Meet Anthony Arrington
Anthony Arrington, a Cedar Rapids native, received his BA in Communication Studies from The University of Iowa. He has held leadership, training, or consulting roles in multiple organizations throughout his career. With a decade of combined recruiting experience that includes leading call centers recruiting on college campuses, managing boutique staffing operations, and working in HR divisions at large organizations, Anthony has located talent in multiple industries and disciplines.
As an advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and engagement, Anthony has worked with organizations to motivate a change in culture through crucial conversations and learning. He helps leaders transform their thinking and understand the immense value of EDI&E, and embrace their role as intentional drivers of this mindset throughout the fabric of their organization.
He is a sought after presenter, and co-host of “Diversity Straight Up”, a podcast that premiered in 2019. He enjoys collaborating on initiatives that advance the rights and opportunities for under-served populations.
Anthony resides in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with his wife and their dog. He is very involved with his community, serving on several non-profit organizations. Anthony is a Civil Rights Commissioner and serves on the Eastern Iowa Human Resources Association board, Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance Business Support Innovation Council, Eastern Iowa Arts Academy board, Boys & Girls Club of Cedar Rapids board, Kirkwood Community College Foundation Board, is a member of the Fair Policing Committee, NAACP, Downtown Rotary, and supports several other organizations.He enjoys spending time with friends and family, helping manage his oldest daughter’s modeling career, sports, and is a huge hip hop music fan—spending lots of time in his music studio.
